Jesse Williams doesn’t seem to be handling divorce very well these days. The Grey’s Anatomy star who has been divorced since October has been ordered to take “high conflict” parenting classes with his ex-wife. Given that their divorce came after 3 years of duking it out, this shouldn’t come as a surprise. And looking at the amount he’s ordered to pay, a little conflict is understandable.

And just how much has Mr. Williams been ordered to pay in child support? Back in October the amount was $40,000 a month he was ordered to pay and $100,000 in 2 upcoming spousal support payments. This is actually lower than the June 2018 amount of $50,000 a month he had to pay in child support on top of the $50,695 a month in spousal support he had to pay since January 2018. By August he filed a petition to the court saying he was paying too much. To put this in context, there are some Real Housewives stars who make this per episode. Kenya Moore’s first Atlanta home came with a $4,000 a month rent price tag.

As for how their divorce has been panning out, Aryn Drake-Lee spoke to People Magazine back in 2019 about the stress their children have been forced to endure. “When you start spinning, the children start spinning, so even if you’re looking at them and you’re telling them everything is fine, they know it’s not fine because they can feel it’s not fine,” she said.

“I talk to them on their level,” Drake-Lee added. “It’s also okay for the children to see me crying, to see that I’m having a hard day today. Because that lets them know that when they have those hard days, there’s also room for that.”

When they first separated, Drake-Lee requested sole custody of their children over rumors he was traumatizing their children with his dating habits. He claimed she was only allowing him to see his children no more than 3.5 hours a day a couple times a week and that they couldn’t sleep over.

Today Williams is dating Hit the Floor actress Taylor Paige who he met in 2018 that said she knew they were going to be together before they even met. Apparently a healer told her she’d have a person with a “mysterious J” would play a significant role in her life, she went to bed and had a dream about Williams and they’ve been together since.  But as for his ex, they’re not in year 4 of their co-parenting battle. I guess when you’ve been together for 13 years and one party immediately ends up in not one but one but two public relationships immediately afterwards, conflict is almost guaranteed to follow. It would just be obviously much better if they were able to set it aside for the sake of their children.
