Devonta Smith has been with the Philadelphia Eagles for less than 30 days and has already shown his priorities are in the right place, immediately showing love to his mother. The 22-year-old Heisman winner shared with Instagram he just bought his mother a house saying, “To the world you are a mother, but to me you are the absolute world.” Of all the things one can do with theit $12 million signing bonus of a $20 million contract, we’d have to say he made a good decision here.

Smith was what some would call an unlikely star as he was underweight not too long ago as a teenager being 6′ and 150 lbs. To fix it he would do 10 pushups everytime he saw his reflection in the mirror and would do 100 pushups before workouts even began. His coach Zephaniah Powell said he was known by his pushup routine before games and practice. He was told all of his life that he was too small to be a football player and he said it was at that point he would master his drills better than everyone else. In the end it all paid off not just for him but apparently his mom, as well. He’s an example how you can do anything you want if you apply yourself.
