OJ Simpson made an appeal to the Governor of Nevada objecting to is decision to close the state’s golf courses. He pointed out that that’s the only way a lot of his older friends without dogs are able to exercise since they don’t have dogs to walk. It’s a good point but Governor Sisolak had a difference of opinion. He said “I’ve had a multitude of pictures sent into me that showed me people were not practicing good social distancing, not arriving one in a cart. They were congregating on the greens. We tried it. It didn’t work because some folks chose not to follow the rules. As a result we are closing golf courses.”
Without being a complete prick about the situation, Simpson did say that this is why we elected our Governor… to make these types of tough decision. He disagreed saying he felt the golfers were doing a good job social distancing but realizes the decision was made for a reason. But while he’s worried about his friends, he’s no spring chicken himself and the best place for him in his 70s would be staying his behind right in the house. He talked about his older friends in their 80s as if he’s not far behind them. And just a couple years ago he was afraid he was going to die in prison because of his health problems… so why he wants to be outside right now is beyond me. Stay inside, OJ and if you insist on using your platform for anything it should be to tell people to do the same. Beyond that, in the words of Dave Chappelle, who cares what OJ Simpson thinks at a time like this?
