Kevin Terry is a gospel artist in Washington, DC who happens to be one of the most talented composers I’ve come across in some time which is why his song Hold On made our Sunday Inspiration song this morning. Now the irony is that this site doesn’t have the best history with this artist. He was involved in a scandal a number of years ago that we didn’t offer him the grace he deserved and for that, we want to apologize. And to be honest, if we had listened to his music before posting about him all those years ago, we probably never would have done it. He definitely is good. I’ll add that his music is exactly the type that I sang in church in the choirs I was in many moons ago.

Hold On was the lead single to his 2011 live debut album LIVE with his group Predestined. Based on Galatians 6:9, Terry was quoted at the time of the album release as saying, “Sometimes people give up on God and their blessings prematurely and they let go because they don’t see a way or provision being made.” He goes on to say, ‘Hold On’ urges the believer to be strong because at the end of the test is Victory!“

Sometimes growth means revisiting the past with a little more grace. Today, we’re choosing to let the music speak for itself. Here’s “Hold On.”
