In the story that just keeps on giving, Megan Thee Stallion finally decided to speak on what happened in that car with Tory Lanez that resulted in her being shot in both feet. She tells fans in an Instagram Live “Yes, this n—a Tory shot me. You shot me, and you got your publicist and your people to [talk to] these blogs, lying and sh–. Stop lying!” And one of the biggest headscratching moments was how she went home, got on Instagram and said she had been shot which LAPD said was news to them. “I didn’t tell the police nothing because I didn’t want us to get in no more trouble,” she says.
Megan, Lanez, his bodyguard and a friend of Megan’s were pulled over after reports of earlier gunshots had occurred. Lanez ended up being arrested for possessing a concealed weapon. The original story was that her feet were cut on glass. We now know that wasn’t the case.
“I tried to keep the situation off the internet but you draggin’ it,” Megan begins in Thursday’s IG session, unspooling a series of explanations Lanez’s supporters have apparently made in the wake of the incident. “Motherf—ers [claiming that] I hit him — I never hit you! Motherf—ers are like, ‘She mad because he’s trying to f— with Kylie [Jenner] — no, I wasn’t.
“There’s only four mother—ers in the car: me, you, my homegirl and your security — everybody in the car is arguing,” she continues. “I’m in the front seat, he’s in the back. I get out the car, I’m done arguing, I’m walking away.
“This n—a, from the backseat, starts shooting me! I didn’t get cut on no glass! Let me tell you why they saying that. There’s a witness – when the police came… this did not happen at Kylie’s house, this happened damn near back at the house I was staying at.
“The police come, I’m scared — the police [have been] killing Black people for no reason. They were really aggressive — you think I’m about to tell the police that we n—as got a gun in the car?”
And we all know a broken clock is right twice a day and that’s the case with rapper turned online troll Khia who tried to talk some sense into her. At the end of the day, she said you’re still covering for him and that that was the real reason she didn’t tell the police. The only plausible explanation for not telling is.. well, there isn’t one. You can’t be that into a guy to just give a pass on him shooting you. You can’t.
While we are no fans of Celina Powell and she commented on this in a rather poor way, she was right when she told her to get her sh** together. This is a terrible situation all around but if there’s anything that should be agreed upon, it’s that the line should be drawn at being shot by your man. In the end, she described the situation by saying, “If you wanna tell the truth, I saved this n—a.” At the expense of getting shot like Della Reese in Harlem Nights in her pinky toe? No, ma’am.
