A few things have shocked us to hear today about Gwen Stefani and that is 1) that she is getting married to Blake Shelton and 2) that she is over 50 years old. She’s been with country singer Shelton for so long, it’s easy to assume they’ve long been married. They’ve been engaged since October in which case if you missed the announcement on Instagram, that’s completely understandable with it being 2020 and all.
A source close to the couple said Shelton built a chapel on his property where the two spend most of their time. “Blake built a chapel on the grounds of his Oklahoma ranch. He did it himself with help. It’s really a tribute to their love. They are going to get married in the chapel, most likely early next year,” the insider added. And to top it all off, a source told People Magazine he asked her three children for their permission to marry their mother. “Her family very much approves of him. He’s an amazing partner and a great dad to the boys. Gwen is ecstatic. The proposal was a surprise,” the source stated.

The couple that’s known each other for the last 6 years and dated since their time together on The Voice in 2015 are pretty cute together. In October for her birthday he wrote, “It’s a special day for a special lady in my life,” he wrote. “I’d write a song for you every single day if I could…” They’ve released some tracks together and Stefani even won her first CMT Music Award for a collab she did with her fiancé. We can’t wait to see these two tie the knot. After a few years of being together and Stefani bagging a man that went on to become People’s Sexiest Man Alive in 2017, they certainly deserve it.
