Floyd Mayweather has apparently turned into Ike Turner showing women that work for him what the 5 fingers said to the face, according to a new lawsuit filed in Vegas this week. It involves a collective lawsuit by two strippers on behalf of all the ones working at Girl Collection, a Vegas strip club he and his sister Deltricia Howard own. The suit says they were labeled independent contractors and not paid minimum wage. They also had to pay fees and their tips to other employees which the suit says is a violation of the Fair Labor Standards Act. They also say he decides when dancers leave and how much of their tips he’ll be taking. The brother-sister duo also âthreatened, intimidated and retaliated against themâ for a previous suit filed last year in federal court and so now assault has been added as well as the case being refiled as it was thrown out in August.
The attorney for the women, Matthew Thompson said text message chains showed he was responsible for dancer schedules and how the club was to be ran. Thompson added âWe believe strongly that Girl Collection was exploiting the entertainers and violating state and federal wage laws, and that Mayweather played a direct role in all of this.â Not only has Mayweather’s attorney Felton Newell said he âvehemently denies the allegations,” but he claims he never owned the club in question. Meanwhile a quick social media search shows on July 3, 2016 he posted “âI am just months away from opening up my very own strip club in Las Vegas, Nevada called Girl Collection,” linked to an Instagram post that was deleted. Signs showing his brand are also all throughout the club, on a company van, etc.
Imagine you questioning your pay and getting slapped for it and then in return being told by your boss they don’t own the company when their name is everywhere. Jesus is not fixing this. The man is literally all over social media promoting the club. He might beat women up but he’s not beating those allegations!
