We knew that things were bad for former Bravo stars Kim Zolciak and Kroy Biermann the moment we saw police body cam footage where Kroy was saying she had destroyed their lives. And then the back and forth being in and out of foreclosure but she’s always dedicated herself completely to her children. At least that’s what Kandi Burrus told us back in 2018 when she told her she made everything about “her kids, her husband and her drinking problem.” Well not so, according to ex-hubby Kroy.
In a new court filing, the former NFL player has asked for immediate and sole custody of their 4 children, Kade, 13, and twins Kaia Rose and Kane Ren, 12, along with all decision making authority. Now what would make him do such a thing? Apparently the January temporary mediated parenting plan they had saw her “almost immediately” violating it by leaving the country for weeks at a time leaving her to be “wholly unavailable to parent the children in any fashion.” He says she’s missed weekly therapy sessions for the children and was out of the country Feb 26th through March 29th. Kim on the other hand denies all of it.
As to why she was out of the country and away from her children for extended periods of time, Kim said in a statement to People Magazine, she “spent five weeks away working on two TV shows to support my family and make sure my children are cared for—something I will never apologize for.” She went on to say, “I refuse to be bullied or have lies twisted into a narrative about who I am. I will not stay silent, the truth is on my side, and it will come to light—no matter how hard anyone tries to bury it.”
And this isn’t his first time asking for sole custody. Back in August he originally filed saying “there is an immediate concern for the physical, emotional, and mental safety” of their children, claiming she was a “tormentor and abuser.” Now just why would he say such a thing? The actual court documents revealed that she was leaving their children in the care of others, had a home that lacked structure and was taking the kids out of school early causing their academic performance to deteriorate. So using the words of torment and abuse seemed to be a little harsh. As for stability around her life these days, she has a new house and has been in a relationship with wealthy business magnate Kyle Mowitz who given his family business portfolio, concerns over life stability might be solved soon if their relationship pans out. Then again she’s been dragged into his $100 million divorce so then again, maybe not.
