Rapper 50 Cent’s longstanding feud with his oldest son Marquise Jackson has taken on new legs this week when he appeared on an Instagram Live with former rapper Choke No Joke complaining about how much he’s been getting in child support. He says $80,000 annually wasn’t enough to maintain his lifestyle.

“$6700 a month in the state of New York City, you do the math,” Marquise told Choke. “You’re talking about a Forbes lister, you’re talking about someone that has problems with everybody, you can’t just live in any neighborhood, $81,000 is not a substantial amount of money. You can’t just live anywhere. You talking about you got beef with everybody in the industry, you can’t just live anywhere.”

Choke reminded Marquise that if he’s getting $6,700 a month, that’s half of the full amount because his mother is getting the other half making it $13,400 in total. Still, he says that’s not enough. “If I told you right now you gotta start your life over right now with $6700 a month and rebuild your life can you do it,” Marquise asked and Choke immediately said yes. “Choke you gotta stop comparing it, you comparing it to yourself, bro, you’re comparing it to your standard of lifestyle. You can’t do that.” Marquise added: “I know what it feels like to have nothing, alright. I had to rebuild my life over with $6700 a month. $81,000 a year.”

To put this in perspective, 50 finished his child support payments in 2017 and posted a celebration of the event. The celebration drew ire from Jackson because he felt he was making a mockery of the situation. But 50’s history with both Jackson and his mother Shaniqua Tompkins go back years. Remember days after 50 ordered her out of his about 15 years ago, the house mysteriously burned down and she blamed him for trying to have her killed in the process. Their relationship is so stranged that his son would do things like post a pic with Supreme McGriff Jr., the son of one of his enemies Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff to which he responded saying “If both these little n-ggas got hit by a bus, I wouldn’t have a bad day” in the comments under a reshare of the pic.

Given that 50’s son Marquise Jackson’s mother was receiving a total of $13,000 a month in child support for him to which he’s angry about 5 years later almost justifies why his father has the problems he has with him. Glitzers, you all are going to have to help us with this. Do you think $13,000 a decent amount for child support to raise one child in New York City? Sound off in the comments.
