Before the coronavirus, killer hornets, Breonna Taylor and George Floyd events happened, there was Antonio Brown. This man made news multiple times a week for about the last year for everything from disrobing in front of a woman painting a mural in his home to throwing candy d*cks at his baby mother in front of police and proposing to her weeks later. The most notorious would be the warrant for his arrest that went out the end of January where he apparently assaulted the moving guy delivering his furniture and refused to pay before unloading everything himself, daring the man to say something.
Today Brown plead no contest to burglary and battery charges stemming from his moving day incident and has two years of probation to look forward to experiencing. He also has to serve 100 hours of community service and as no surprise to anyone, a 3-week anger management program and undergo psychological/psychiatric evaluation and treatment if necessary. It’s a shame that it took all of this for him to receive some mental health treatment, which is likely going to happen because he has been out of control for the longest. He has repeatedly cursed all of his former bosses as well as the NFL, only to turn around and apologize more times than we can count.
“Rather than engage in a protracted legal case,” Brown’s attorney, Carson Hancock, said in a statement, “Mr. Brown decided to resolve this matter in an expeditious manner in consideration of his family and his football career.”
And then there’s the fact that he might be getting signed again soon. He’s been a free agent since September after a case of him threatening a woman by text message began. Now he just made a post with pics of his last 3 teams captioned with “Big 4X Soon #CallGod” leading people to believe that was a hint that he may be getting signed again soon. The only catch would be the pending 3 suspensions he’s facing over three different potential violations of the Personal Conduct Policy. This man truly is a cat with 9 lives because for him to go throug hall he has and be out of prison and possibly still have a career, he’s beyond lucky.
