Beyonce had a pretty huge night at the Grammy’s last night becoming the most awarded artist in history winning 4 of her 9 nominations. But it’s the fact she lost Album of the Year to Harry Styles that set her fans on 1,000. His third album Harry’s House debuted at No. 1 on Billboard with hits such as As It Was that held the Number One spot for 15 consecutive weeks. He accepted his award saying, “I’ve been so, so inspired by every artist in this category with me at a lot of different times in my life. I think – like on nights like tonight – it’s obviously so important for us to remember that there is no such thing as best in music.” And he humbly added, “This doesn’t happen to people like me very often and this is so, so nice.”

Fans of the Renaissance singer shared memes of everything from threatening to fight Harry to saying how they just don’t understand. But one thing to keep in mind is that Beyonce is 41 years old She’s been with us about 25 years now. Harry is a vastly successful artist and in his 20s. Many of who is carrying the discussion both online and written media about a conspiracy against Beyonce are millenials, many of which themselves are either in their 40s or close to it. So in other words, their take on what’s popular isn’t going to be the same as the general public. And maybe just because you all are willing to spend thousands to see her on tour and meme the ticket prices to death does it mean everyone else feels the same. So take a look at your driver’s license and ask yourself to gauge your critique for a second.

Other Grammy highlights include Bad Bunny became the first artist to score a Grammy for an album completely in Spanish. Stevie Wonder led a tribute to honor Barry Gordy and Smokey Robinson as MusiCares Person of the Year. Stevie performed The Temptations hit “The Way You Do the Things You Do” with Robinson singing “Tears of a Clown” and Chris Stapleton performing “Higher Ground.” And for the next controversial performance of 50 years of hiphop being celebrated with Busta Rhymes, Method Man, Queen Latifah, Missy Elliot along with a medley by Jay-Z, Adele and HER occurring. It was controversial because people asked why other artists like Lil Kim and Nicki Minaj weren’t included. Hey, you can’t include them all. Queen Latifah said “Hip-hop will live everywhere, forever” as the medley transitioned into Nelly’s performance. And LL Cool J concluded the tribute with all artists that performed back on stage with him saying, “Hip-hop is a global platform today,” LL Cool J said, adding “we’re celebrating the 50th anniversary of hip-hop… for the culture!”
