Country music star Billie Ray Cyrus divorced his wife Firerose of just 7 months leaving her with nothing but his name in the divorce settlement. The Australian born singer had been accused of only marrying Cyrus for his last name and he repeatedly called her a fraud in a statement via his attorneys about the divorce to TMZ. “This has been absolutely the most crazy insane scam I have ever heard of. Let alone the fact I’m right in the center and basically the target of the scheme. It’s unfortunate it played out this way. Not only was it a web of lies that put me in physical danger, it was a matter of the heart. Love is blind, that’s for sure.”
The divorce had been ongoing since May, with Cyrus citing irreconcilable differences and inappropriate marital conduct as the reasons for the split. He also sought an annulment, alleging fraud. In June, after she charged $96,000 to his credit card, he sought a temporary restraining order to prevent her from making further charges. She argues that she had access to the card since they moved in together in 2022, shortly after his divorce, and claims she was never given a spending limit. She believes she should be able to spend money to support her new lifestyle. She also hit back by saying because of his “persistent drug use accompanied with the consumption of marijuana,” he was susceptible to “unpredictable and volatile behavior.” He called BS on her claims, stating that she threatened to ruin his career if he divorced her.
And when things get bad they tend to go crazy in the world of divorces. Imagine being diagnosed with cancer and your husband leaving you at the very thought of it. And no this isn’t a replay of The Real Housewives of Atlanta. That is what Firerose says Cyrus did just a day before she was scheduled to have a double mastectomy. Cyrus responded by filing subpoena for Firerose’s medical records surrounding her double mastectomy as he believes she knew about this before they got together as a couple and that she was weaponizing it against him in their divorce. She said she was “ambushed” with divorce papers the day before the surgery.
We’re not exactly sure what is going on with these two but how else would anyone expect ending a 30 year marriage for someone 25 years younger and moving her in months after a divorce? She probably looked at the wig he’s been rocking for years, or so he’s been accused of wearing and saw a sucker.
