Bow Wow performed at a packed club Friday night, Cle Houston showing a massive crowd, mostly all without masks resulting in a fury of comments online calling him irresponsible. “Woooooowwwwwww….. how are we ever gonna live through this pandemic if people keep doing this?” one wrote. “Going to see Bow Wow in a pandemic, we are stuck in this for a long time. Selfish idiots,” wrote another. After a full day of people asking what was wrong with him, Bow Wow went on Twitter to explain himself.

In a series of deleted tweets, he wrote “Man I been hosting parties all last year. I wore my mask in the club. I can’t host with that thing on,” according to E! Online. “That’s the thing IT WASN’T MY PARTY. But of course ima get the blame,” he wrote in another since-deleted message. “I don’t want folks thinking I don’t care ya know…” He also said he tested for COVID twice before performing and said he wore a mask before and after performing despite evidence to the opposite.

Now Mayor Sylvester Turner has gotten involved and is getting their local alcohol board to investigate which could mean the club ultimately could lose their liquor license over this. Apparently a lot of clubs are reclassifying themselves as restaurants to remain open as a way to circumvent the law. “I am still getting disturbing pictures of people who are hanging out in these clubs that have been re-characterized as restaurants,” Mayor Turner said.

“They are community spreaders, and they are working against what we are trying to achieve,” Mayor Turner said. “And let me tell you, they are not restaurants. So I am calling on the TABC to really crack down and to rescind some of these reclassifications.” He went on to say, “But as Chief (Samuel) Pena said, ‘Mayor, it is ludicrous when these bars and clubs have been allowed to be reclassified themselves as restaurants, and when you look at these pictures, there’s no food on the table.’ None,” Mayor Turner said. “They have to review their policies. That is a huge loophole.”

Oh Bow Wow. And he does have a point by saying it wasn’t his event. Now some others are making a bit of a false equivalency pointing out to another social media fail of his from earlier this month. He posted a pic of him and a bunch of women on a tiny boat essentially saying he was balling with the internet clowning him over the boat’s size.

After taking the L, he then responded by renting an even bigger boat and doing a do over for social media.

Here’s Bow’s problem… sometimes we just have to accept where we are and because of his projection of being this bigger than life star without receipts, he keeps getting clowned over the results. At 33 years old, he’s done pretty well for himself and basically just needs to try less. And the days of 2017 when he posted a pic he googled of a private jet literally while sitting in coach with someone following him posting a pic of him saying he’s lying need to be left behind. Dear God, please don’t make us relive that again. If you have to rent a small boat, have the small boat and live your life. You don’t have to try and outdo people on the internet everytime you post. Live life.

I’ll add that I was surprised to see the boat. I remmeber I believe it was Season 4 of Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood when Hazel E started the season lying on a yacht. I mean… she had a better presentation than him. I’d suggest hitting her up for getting his presentation together. Following her social media, a much lesser star, she comes across a lot better than he does which is a shame, honestly.
