Britney Spears is finally a free woman after nearly 14 years of all her personal decisions having to be made by others under her conservatorship. She took a moment to thank her fans for being there for her and “saving my life” as she said in a new Instagram video. She captioned the video with “I might as well do a hint of my thoughts on the gram before I go and set things square on @Oprah 🤔😜🤷🏼♀️.”
Toward the end of the video she told her fans, “You guys rock. My voice was muted and threatened for so long and I wasn’t able to speak up or say anything and because of you guys and the awareness of kind-of knowing what was going on and delivering that news to the public for so long, you gave an awareness to all of them.”

But that’s not the mood she was in a couple weeks ago. Shortly before her conservatorship ended, her mother came to see her in LA, flying all the way from Louisiana and she wouldn’t even let her inside. And it all stems from her publicly saying her mother ruined her life for coming up with the idea of the conservatorship in the first place.
“A few weeks before the conservatorship ended, Lynne flew to Los Angeles to try to reconnect with Britney,” a source told Page Six. “But Britney didn’t even let Lynne into her house. She is furious with her. Lynne tried over a number of days to try to visit, but Britney just shut her down.”
And to add insult to injury, her mother asked for $650,000 from her daughter’s estate to cover legal bills of hers in all of this. Britney’s turning 40 in just a couple weeks. If you had a family member that kept you in a position where you had to answer to them since your 20s with no recourse, you’d be pretty upset with them as well. So Lynn, all we can suggest is to wait it out and hope Britney doesn’t present the public with any damaging information about all of this because then… well, let’s just hope for your sake that doesn’t happen.
