The Megan Thee Stallion and Tory Lanez saga continues with a new turn. After a court hearing days ago happened where Tory Lanez’ attorney laid out the defense against Meg saying that an independent eyewitness stated gunshot residue was closest to the other woman she was fighting with and that the list of inconsistencies in her story are what he looks forward to cross-examining her on, something else significant happened. LAPD detective Ryan Stonger said the bullet fragments pulled from her feet “cannot be located” and that doctors categorized her injuries as “superficial.”
When it was revealed this week that the gunshot happened closer to her friend Kelsey than her, she lashed out at TMZ online for their coverage of the case. “Don’t blogs/journalists have to have accurate/credible sources before going with a story?” she tweeted. “Or is it just like a new I got paid to post this or I heard out from home girl type policy these days.
“Like I’ve been SHOT and the focus of some these headlines are dismissing that I was attacked with a WEAPON WHILE I WAS UNARMED and trying to paint it as a cat fight between friends why do I have to relive this with everyone on the internet every day ? And watch y’all gaslight me.”
Kelsey then responded, “I’m not worried about no NDA, this is real life shit. NDA ain’t stopping anyone. Trust me my time to speak is coming, let’s let them get all their stories out. I’m the one with nothing to hide Or lie about. Difference between me and them. Celebrities will do and say whatever to save face.”
Not to diminish violence or to be a conspiracy theorist but this is not looking good for Megan Thee Stallion. And given her deal with Netflix and a career that is really exploding, if in fact it is proven this story is true, it will give the illusion that the rise in her profile over the last year came from the PR of this story. It’s almost like a reverse 2004 Janet Jackson Superbowl event.
