Caitlyn Jenner is currently pissed at Jimmy Kimmel over his critique of her recent appearance on The View. Most notably she didn’t like being referred to as “Trump in a wig.” It started with Kimmel referring to the end of Keeping Up with the Kardashians as the “rear-end of an era.”

“I have to confess something, I did not keep up with the Kardashians … did they turn out okay?” Kimmel asked. “None of them married a crazy person or anything, right? How’s the dad, Bruce, the Olympic guy? Good?”

Then in a series of unflattering side by sides of former President Trump and what he called “Caitlyn Jenner Car-crash-ian,” referencing the 2015 fatal car accident she was in. “Are we sure that isn’t Donald Trump in a Caitlyn Jenner wig?” he asked. “Because, I mean, look at this, the resemblance is uncanny. They’ve got all the same kind of moves.”

And about that interview she did on The View, Kimmel said it was “a lot of nonsense” and she said was “just trying to get attention.” Kimmel then said she “has a better chance of being the next Batman than she does governor of California. She knows little to nothing about anything, really.”

Being angry old Twitter fingers, Jenner responded on Twitter saying, “Last night @jimmykimmel called me Donald Trump with a wig,” she tweeted on Friday afternoon. “He obviously believes that trans women are simply men with wigs on.”

“Where is the outrage from the left or LGBT community?” she continued. “Being WOKE must be optional if you are a Democrat.”

“Speaking of @jimmykimmel he also received a pass from the WOKE on his use of black face and racist actions,” she continued, posting that infamous grabs of Jimmy dressed as Karl Malone for a skit. “Hypocrite,” she added.

Now about this mocking of the term woke, it’s something I’ve always taken issue with. The term grew out of the need for paying attention to social injustice around you. Those against protests and just any type of societal pressure to discuss these issues usually garners eye-rolling and air quotes from people like Jenner talking about it.

As for as calling her Trump in a wig, well it’s a joke and considering she once was a strong supporter of the former president, is it really transphobic to make this joke? Am I allowed to even type this?

Mind you, all this is about her run for office in California as Governor. Her life has mostly been around media, reality tv and public speaking after the Olympics in the 70s. Does she have any type of experience relevant for that seat? I watched her campaign announcement and read through her campaign site. It doesn’t really look like it. So is it wrong to say she’s just on The View for attention if it doesn’t appear you are qualified to be on for the reason you’re booked? I don’t think so.

And just another note, some of you may remember that Caitlyn considered transitioning over 30 years ago. She had started doing so in 1990 but stopped after meeting Kris Jenner. They decided to get married, start a family, etc. And she told him at the time if he had to dress up to go on the road and do it somewhere else. Considering this was so long agom we’re surprised no stories about her have come out over the years. Or maybe we should dig a little further. If this is the case, we wonder if she would have stood a better chance running had she transitioned back in the 90s like she wanted.
