If Kanye West is anything, he’s definitely talked about all the time. And to his rescue came what some may have seen as the unlikely defense from Cardi B. Shortly after the album dropped, comedian Karlous Miller said “Kanye West fell off. And won’t nobody say it.” In defense of his creative expression came Cardi saying, “Kanye West found God and people call that falling off,” followed by an eyeroll emoji. She made a good point. You can’t expect an artist to remain the same throughout their career. And she of all people knows about the perils of trying to please people. She said not long ago that people have complained to her about why she keeps talking about stripping, to which she responded saying that she put out a single with a different subject and people asked her what was that, so this is what she’s doing. By the way, we give her credit for talking about what she did for a living. That was her job, and legal. How often do you hear other rappers talk about their legal occupation before getting into the industry? And speaking of jobs, can we talk about the irony of Miller being fired from MTV’s Wild ‘N Out claiming someone else fell off?
Others in the comments sided with Cardi as well saying, “He fell off and became something great ! Minor set back for a major comeback !” Another said, “He didn’t dall [sic] off! ya’ll just want him to fall off… But he wont… so lets give it a rest.” He also received praise from the President’s son Don Jr. who tweeted, “Kanye West is cracking the culture code. @kanyewest’s new album #JesusIsKing is the epitome of fearless creativity and ‘dangerous, unapproved’ ideas. Leftists always try to silence those who are speaking truth. They’re waging a war on our family and culture. Kanye is a pioneer.”
He’s excited about going on tour to promote the album and is said to already be planning it. His wife Kim Kardashian is concerned about his mental health but he’s in a much better mental space than he’s been in the past. It’s been some time since he’s had an episode and should be good to go for now. And speaking of his wife, he recently did a special Carpool Karaoke episode on a plane with his choir and he told host James Corden he felt like he had been married to her for 500 years. Well he’s off a couple zeros. It’s been 5 years but hey, close enough. That’s a good amount of time for a Hollywood marriage. Anytime we see them, they appear to be happy together and hopefully it’ll stay that way. And it’s a good thing she’s making sure he remains in good health for his tour because knowing this industry, someone has to be in your corner to make sure you’re looking after yourself, because if you don’t, no one else will.
