Carmelo Anthony has come out swinging at the media today after a full day of press accusing him of cheating on Lala with another woman. Now usually when a guy is seen on a yacht alone with a woman in a bikini, they’re sleeping together. Well it isn’t clear if that’s what happened or not but he certainly is trying to lead us to think that’s not what happened. And did we mention it happened on his wife’s birthday?
In a recent video obtained by TMZ Sports, he went out of his way to set the record straight saying, “Listen, I’m gonna address this one time and one time only. And I’m really only addressing it for my family. Keep my family out this, man. I’m over here trying to do my business retreat. I’m over here trying to have a good time. I’m on a boat with some friends. Them people are married, man. They ain’t got nothing to do with anything. Y’all trying to expose – y’all exposing somebody’s wife. Y’all exposing somebody’s kids to all that. like, c’mon.”
“Leave that alone, man. That ain’t cool. Now, I got to deal with that. I got to deal with that with my son. I got to deal with that with my wife. That ain’t cool, man. That’s not cool at all. Let those people live, all them bloggers trying to put that out there, that shit is not cool at all. It’s not cool at all.”
Now Carmelo is in Europe on a business retreat and he said it was a couple he was on the yacht with as a friend. “Let that family be. They’re family. They’re married. Let them people be them people. Them people are some real discrete people. And y’all putting them people out there like that? They don’t need to be [out] in the world like that. They do their own thing,” he said in the video.”
“Y’all doing too much,” he added. “The only reason I’m addressing this is because this is affecting my family now. And y’all got me out here looking crazy. Usually, I don’t address this, but I had to address this. Can’t let this one slide, ‘cause this shit ain’t cool no more. Peace.”
Now in Carmelo’s defense, when you have friends with yachts or even a boat and you’re invited on, what do you do? You get your ass on that boat. It isn’t always something you think about. Now if you know how the paparazzi is, it might be a good idea to give your wife a heads up that there might be pics, but this could have very well been an innocent outing. The problem is him and his wife just got back together after cheating allegations in 2017. Valentine’s Day came this year with a passive aggressive threat via a Beyonce quote on his wife’s Instagram account so he’s trying to keep things together and Lala doesn’t come across as a person who plays. She might keep a loq profile but anytime your husband has to send a video PSA to tell the media to leave his marriage alone, you can guarantee it came by strong suggestion from their wife. Be strong Carmelo and for your sake, you’d better not be cheating, sir.
