There are many levels to fandom. Some allow their fans early access to albums and tours and then there’s Carole Baskin. She’s just released her own crypto currency exclusively for her fans. Her Big Cat Rescue organization has issued a press release about her new alt-coin which they’re describing as “not a currency for investment, but rather is a purr-ency of our fans to show their love for the cats.”

The “fan token” will give fans the opportunity to have walks through her animal sanctuary, buy cat themed merchandise and have access to her and her staff for conversataion. “Future plans include a big cat metaverse for virtual visits with the cats … and NFTs which are launching in about two weeks,” the release also stated.
Regarding her decision to start this, Baskin stated, “I’m investigating cryptocurrencies because I am concerned about the volume of US dollars that are being printed and distributed with nothing to back them up.”
“I like the idea of putting the power of money in the hands of the people, rather than banks and governments.”
