Lil Baby canceled his headlining performance at the Breakout Festival in Vancouver’s PNE Amphitheatre over the weekend and it resulted in chaos. The announcement was made right before his scheduled appearance time and fans rioted. By that time he had actually left the venue already. About 4,200 audience members left peacefully while the rest sought to destroy property. In the end 7 people were arrested so far.
The Atlanta rapper did make a post on Instagram explaining that his body had shut down but later evidence has come out showing the contrary. It appears that the morning before he was scheduled to perform he was seen in Zouk nightclub in Vegas at 3am turning up with Travis Scott and Canelo Alvarez celebrating his win against Gennady Golovkin.
So someone just got caught in a little lie. Fans don’t like spending money on tickets for you to do a no show and neither do event organizers. Perhaps that’s why his Security tried to escort him out of the club with a towel over his head for him to not be recognized because he was planning to not show up? Or he just might have had a serious hangover. He’s 27. It’s possible. But being one of the biggest artists in the game right now, we’ll see if he faces any backlash for this.
