Chicago rapper Hellabandz, whose real name was Ameer Golston, was gunned down outside of Cameo nightclub in Miami on a busy South Beach street Saturday morning. The event took place following an altercation that also sent two others to Jackson Memorial Hospital’s Ryder Trauma Center with one in critical condition and the other said to be in good sorts.

“During our investigation we’ve learned Mr. Golston has a violent criminal history,” Miami Beach Police Department explained. “We continue to ask the public for their assistance in identifying those responsible for this shooting. A potential subject vehicle was located not far from the scene. While another fled. A pursuit ensued. Our officer witnessed an occupant display a firearm from within the vehicle and later lost sight of that vehicle. A third vehicle was located near 83 Street and Collins Avenue which also fled.” It’s worth noting the officers crashed while trying to pursue the third suspect. “Thankfully the officers only suffered minor injuries. The male subjects and vehicle fled the scene,” they added. “We have a lot of work ahead of us.”
