Chris Brown went from being an embattled artist to one breaking records. For one, he just released his 9th album, Indigo. Originally planned as a 30 track double disc album to celebrate his 30th birthday, it actually came out to be 32 tracks if you include the 3 bonus tracks. This is also his second double disc album since 2017’s Heatbreak on a Full Moon. And while there was a time in his career that critics wanted to write him off, his talent’s undeniable and he’s remained the standard for his peers and those coming behind him.

The album is star studded with features from Nicki Minaj, Justin Bieber, Lil Wayne, Tyga, Trey Songz and Tory Lanez just to name a few. He showed his flexibility with a remix to Old Town Road with Lil Nas X and Billy Ray Cyrus and even brought the man responsible for one of the most recognizable songs of the millennium, Juvenile. Okay, his song Back That Thang Up was in ’99, but you get the point.

Indigo will be supported by the IndiGOAT U.S. tour with Ty Dolla Sign, Joyner Lucas, and Lanez which starts August 20th in Portland. Other stops include New Orleans, Brooklyn, Chicago, and Houston before finishing up in Anaheim October 19th.
