Chrissy Teigen’s starting to see industry backlash from what appears to be a decade of cyberbullying. It started with the revelation that she repeatedly told Courtney Stodden to kill herself as a minor, her joking about Lindsay Lohan cutting herself and the jury is still out on whether Michael Costello called her the N word or not. Still, saying he should be dead and driving him to be suicidal isn’t cool.

Well now it’s reported that she’s hoping she can land herself an interview with Oprah to try to save her career or what’s left of it. So far she’s had a Bloomingdale’s deal cancelled and her already filmed guest role in Netflix’ Never Have I Ever has been cancelled. Piers Morgan said if anyone else said the filth she did that she’d be leading the charge in having them cancelled. She’s also been reported to be having a meltdown in light of watching her career go up in flames at the moment. Her husband John Legend on the other hand said she’s handling things well. That’s about as believable as the sky being fire engine red.

Now let’s put this into perspective. Teigen has been a roundhouse jerk online. That we know. But a good majority of what has been considered bad behavior at least in the masses today would be words she said towards former President Donald Trump. And we know it would please his supporters and fans no more than to see her cancelled. Now let’s say this is the end of Teigen and we don’t hear from her again. Take into consideration the things this man has said and been allowed to get away with not only for decades but from campaign and presidential bully pulpits. If he’s been allowed this type of grace, then the knives might need to be pulled back at least for some of those going after her right now. You can’t support him with all he comes with and talk about her.

As for this interview prospect, sources close to the model said “Chrissy is in talks with Oprah to do a Meghan Markle sit-down type interview and tell her truth. Chrissy is a fighter and believes that she is such an excellent communicator that there isn’t a mess she can’t talk her way out of. Every news outlet in the world has contacted Chrissy about getting her first on-camera interview, but Oprah is her first choice. If Oprah can forgive Chrissy, then so can the nation.”

We’ll be reporting on any updates from this.
