Conor McGregor just gave a mysterious press conference in Moscow where he had teased an event with a flyer saying, “Perhaps he will make statements about his imminent return to the octagon.” He spoke about his career and his newly launched whiskey business he’s had for the last year, but he was also confronted to his face with a pretty tough reporter there. The question he was asked was, “News is coming out that Conor McGregor raped a 20-year-old lady.” Now this was asked in Russian and he had a translator sitting next to him so things didn’t quite go out of control since he didn’t understand what was said anyway. The reporter was actually pretty nice since they started off praising his career. His media team stepped in, said they weren’t discussing it and scolded the reporter for going there in the first place.

Now let’s take this all into perspective. Conor McGregor had no business in Russia and from what we could tell, only flew there specifically to troll the last person he had a fight with, Khabib Nurmagomedov. Now that fight got out of control and it ended with them both being suspended for 6 months after getting into yet another fight afterwards in the audience. Then Khabib called him a rapist and alcoholic on Twitter this week so the reporter asking the question wasn’t exactly out of line considering it’s a part of the ongoing storyline and feud between these two. And since he was already stamping his passport in Russia with an epic troll move, why not address accusations your mortal enemy made against you? Well it looks like Conor’s prepping to get back in the octagon and given this man’s wild life and recent perils, this is going to mean either massive success for him or tabloid fire and if we’re lucky, a little of both.
