Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey was married last week for a second time while on the show but made headlines for the network refusing to film it. That came across as strange and the news circulated for some time as well without explanation. Bailey’s not exactly the most belligerent cast member so that was hard to understand why that would be and outside of the prospect of her leaving Atlanta for LA, this was a real headscratcher. Well an answer has finally been given by Bravo.

Production told Bravo that 2 days before Williams’ wedding was planned, Hurricane Delta was on its way and she decided to move the outdoor event indoors. The network wasn’t happy with that and felt the 181 guest event indoors was neither safe or appropriate. Luckily, Williams had her own film crew present at the Governors Towne Club in Acworth, GA and the footage will be airing on the show.

But don’t fret, Williams did look out for the safety of her guests. A negative Covid test was required from 5 days prior to attending. Not everyone, however felt this was a good idea. Wendy Williams congratulated her on tying the knot but said she felt she was “selfish” for going through with it. “Congratulations to selfish Cynthia and her husband Mike Hill,” Williams said on her Oct. 12 show. “Some guests wore no masks at all, and all I can feel is coughing,”

“Everybody looks beautiful, and the place looks nice, but there was no social distancing, and I’m frightened for all of them,” she added.

In other news, the entire cast was in attendance which shows they’re at least all relatively getting along for now. And above all, we’re happy to see Cynthia happy,. We remember what she was put through with her ex-husband Peter Thomas from moving to Atlanta to be with him from NYC and discovering all the financial issues he was having, the scaled down wedding because of it, etc. She also didn’t talk about things like having sex on the counter as she does with Hill. Anyway, we can’t wait to see the wedding footage.

We also want to see this season to get some context about this alleged girl on girl action that happened at her baccholertte party, involving two cast members. The cast denied it and the stripper, Michael Bolwaire, hired by Kandi Burruss said it didn’t happen, but a witness said he heard two of the women in a private room shouting “f*ck me harder.” If not true, maybe that was Cynthia and Mike that was overheard. And at that point we would understand why she was bragging about doing it on the counter and thinking about moving across the country for him.
