Wendy Williams is a bold woman, for the two people out there who haven’t noticed already. But as we always say, she’s much calmer than what she used to be. That still doesn’t mean she doesn’t try it from time to time. She had Da Brat on Friday and said in the intro to the segment before bringing her on that Da Brat tried to hit on her recently. Now let’s not forget that Da Brat has a fiance and has been in a relationship for a bit so that’s a strong claim to make on national television. Perhaps she didn’t think about that first… or she did. Hmm

So Wendy described her text exchange with Da Brat as “[She was] like, ‘So whatchu doin.’ I’m like, ‘Da Brat, I’m minding my own business. What do you mean?’ ‘Is you alone?’ Oh she tried it.” She also took Da Brat saying she had a good “hit game” as her hitting on her. Da Brat came in via video feed saying, “I came in, you saying something a little bizarre. Could you refresh and rewind and tell me what you said?”

“Well, you got a strong pick up game, unless that’s the way you always speak to all attractive women,” Williams responded. Da Brat replied, “So you think I tried to pick you up?” to which Williams responded emphatically, “Yup! Yup!”

At this point Da Brat put her foot down saying the whole purpose of the exchange was to check on her after seeing her Lifetime documentary, Wendy Williams: What a Mess! “The last time we talked and I texted you, it was after I saw your documentary, and I felt like you ain’t got no real friends and I wanted to be your friend, so I called to check on you,” Da Brat said.

Wendy of course continued to insist otherwise and Da Brat, with a relationship to protect said, “Naw, girl. You better check your phone, ’cause I got the same receipts, I got the same phone.” And Da Brat reiterated that her goal was never Wendy saying, “I love you but I ain’t never been attracted to you, girl. You fly, but you not for me. I already had my baby, too,” Harris said. “I wouldn’t disrespect or do that, at all,” she said.

Now the irony of all of this is that the girlfriend Da Brat was referring to is her current partner, Jesseca “Judy” Dupart who she debuted last March as her better half. And Da Brat was on the show to promote her new reality series Brat Loves Judy. Mmhmm. That was shade Wendy. But Da Brat did a good job blocking that set up.

Da Brat then turned the conversation to how viciuos Wendy used to be on radio saying, “You know you used to scare us to death back in the day. I used to be nervous to come on your show, ’cause you would always just say something that would just make somebody feel super little when they left.”

Williams replied, “I mean, I know. But, I’m just a girl.” Yeah, she’s a woman alright, but a woman that used to scare the sh** out of everyone. As for Da Brat’s new show Brat Loves Judy, no release date has been given yet.
