Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin caused a stir Monday when he collapsed on the field from cardiac arrest and was subsequently revived there by Bills trainer Denny Kellington. Since then he spent about 48 hours in the ICU before showing responsiveness. It had been reported that he lost 7-10% chance of survival with each minute and he went without CPR. Expressing gratitude, he’s now reappeared online chronicling his experience posting a series of shots of himself with the most epic quote from his doctors.

When he asked who won the Bills – Bengals game, Hamlin’s doctors told him, “Yes, you won. You’ve won the game of life.” He captioned his post returning to social media stating, “When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you 3x’s as much.. 🫶🏾🫶🏾🫶🏾 The Love has been overwhelming, but I’m thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out. We brung the world back together behind this. If you know me you know this only gone make me stronger. On a long road keep praying for me! 🫶🏾❤️3️⃣ #3strong.”

His team gave some promising news stating that he’s breathing on his own but still in critical condition and is in excellent neurological condition. A doctor that treated Hamlin told reporters at a press conference that the trainer that came to his aid was the “real hero” here. “Immediate bystander CPR … rarely ever happens,” William Knight IV told the cameras. Another doctor Timothy Pritts cosigned that statement by saying things could have been far worse if he didn’t receive CPR until later stating, “For an assistant to find himself at that position and needing to take the action that he did, and step up and take charge like he did … is nothing short of amazing.” He added, “The courage that that took … talk about a real leader, a real hero, in saving Damar’s life and I just admire his strength.”

We’re just glad to see things being on the up and up for him since he collapsed in such a dramatic way on national television.
