Washington Football team player Derrius Guice just got dropped from the team within 24 hours of them finding out about domestic violence charges of his. It started with one at his Ashburn, Virginia home but then they found out about 3 on Feb. 14, March 13 and April 17 all at his place. They were reported to the Montgomery County Police Department in Maryland where the victim lives and investigated by Loudoun County Sheriff’s Office Domestic Violence Unit in conjunction with Montgomery County Maryland’s Police Department.
What is sad about all of this is that Guice was drafted to the then Washington Football team in 2018 and in total has only played 5 games due to a few injuries. So now he’s 23 and out of the league until further notice. He was arrested today and released on a $10,000 unsecured bond. That’s when the team cut him, hearing about his arrest.
A statement from the Washington Football team was released today stating, “On Thursday we learned of a potential domestic violence-related incident involving RB Derrius Guice. We immediately alerted the National Football League and have continued to work with them during this process. We then met with Derrius to inform him that he was excused from all team activity pending a review of the matter. This afternoon we learned that there were multiple charges filed against Derrius. Upon review of the nature of these charges ad following internal discussions, we have decided to release Derrius immediately.”
The 3 charges Guice is facing include 3 counts of assault and battery and 1 count of destruction of property. He turned himself into Loudoun Adult Detention Center around 5 pm today. We just want to know what all of this fighting going on at his house is about. Was it his girlfriend he was fighting? Who keeps going back for more? Are we going to hear their side of the story? And what makes his big a** think he could beat on someone, we’re assuming a woman and not get in trouble for it? It seems we have plenty of examples of that not being true from over the years but some people are simply hard headed.
