The Will Smith Oscars slap lead the country to go on a soul searching spree and now it’s even caused people to be fired that had absolutely nothing to do with it. Filming for Magic Mike 3 is currently going on and a fight between Channing Tatum and Thandiwe Newton was so explosive, and over the Will Smith slap that it lead to her being replaced by Salma Hayek, allegedly. It was so bad it was described as rising to “astonishing” and “unimaginably vicious” levels leading Tatum to get in his car and drive off set mid-argument. Apparently he just went “I am not working with her anymore’. Him being a producer, it’s his movie, so she’s off the movie.”
Newton’s spokesperson has now come out saying “This report is completely inaccurate.” In reality, sources close to the situation say that Newton in reality took off due to family matters. As for that tense back and forth where Tatum drove off of his own set? Never happened. Her spokesperson said Wednesday that she “made the difficult decision to step away from the production of Warner Bros. Pictures’ Magic Mike’s Last Dance to deal with family matters.”
