During this year’s Eurovision competition, it didn’t go off without controversy. The winning Italian band Maneskin’s lead singer Damiano David is accused of doing cocaine. And it isn’t just some hearsay or backstage event. He allegedly did it right on camera. Don’t believe us? Just watch the video and you be the judge.
The camera flashed in his direction and David’s head was completely down on the table Saturday in the most unflattering of ways. Basically, it looked like he was doing a Lindsay Lohan but David claims he just dropped a glass under the table and he was observing the damage. Organizers did notice glass under the table. Organizers for the event tried to get him to do a drug test but couldn’t coordinate it in time before the band’s flight.
Eurovision was a lively event this year and perhaps too lively. Either David is the most badass of bandmembers of all time to do THAT on live television or he’s just a victim of the worst possible camera angle ever. He has now agreed to do a drug test now that he’s back in Italy and event organizers are reviewing all footage to double check if he’s telling the truth about NOT doing drugs on air.
