Famed fashion designer Thierry Mugler, known for his cinched waist designs and power shoulders, designing for the likes of Beyonce, Madonna, Lady Gaga, Kim Kardashian and more has reportedly died at the age of 73 according to his agent Jean-Baptiste Rougeot. “#RIP We are devastated to announce the passing of Mr Manfred Thierry Mugler on Sunday January 23rd 2022. May his soul Rest In Peace,” a statement written on his Instagram account read.

The Strasbourg, France born designer started his label Cafe de Paris in 1973, a year before creating “Thierry Mugler.” The man began ballet at 14, was an avid bodybuilder and was responsible for the first time a singer-actress walked a runway for a clothing brand when Diana Ross walked in a show for him in 1991.
Celebrities have given an outpouring of emotions about his passing already with Mick Jagger’s daughter Georgia May Jagger commented on the announcement, “I cannot believe this is true sending love to you all. Thierry was a force of creativity and kindness.” Brigitte Nielsen commented, “Such an icon. Unbelievably sad,” and Diana Ross tweeted a photo of the two together saying, “I will miss you Thierry Mugler this was a wonderful time in our lives.”
