Former Seahawks player Malik Mcdowell just plead guilty for his violent arrest incident where he fought police earlier in the year and it looks like he might be avoiding jail time. A diversion program has been placed on the table for the 6’6 300 pound defensive lineman. Now if he manages to get off without spending another day in jail, that would be amazing considering the average person would expect the book thrown at them if they beat up a police officer after being caught speeding, driving recklessly and facing multiple felonies. And don’t forget it took multiple officers to subdue him at the convenience store he was arrested in.

This wasn’t Mcdowell’s only arrest of the year. One would normally think they if they just got popped for trying to go MMA on the police, they’d try and chill out, but nope… not Mcdowell. Just a few months later in April he was arrested after Michigan cops suspected him of stealing a $75,000 2019 Ford F-150 Raptor. He was eventually arrested for felony receiving and concealing stolen property. Now I’m more understanding of the going upside the police officer’s head than the the stealing of the pickup truck. Did a friend steal it and ask him to hide it at his place? Remember when the Feds showed up to Kandi Burruss’ house to confiscated a motorcycle belonging to her husband Todd Tucker’s friend Apollo Nida that was apparently being kept illegally there? This sounds like the same situation. And why would an NFL player be doing such a thing?

Anyway, kudos on having a good legal team. If he gets to get out of jail time after beating up police while resisting arrest, I want to see more people get the same treatment out of fairness. We’ll be paying close attention to this case but we definitely want to know the outcome of this.
