R Kelly was convicted of multiple child pornography charges on Wednesday including three of four counts of production of child pornography and three of five counts of enticement of a minor to engage in criminal sexual activity. He was acquitted of one count of conspiracy to ocstruct justice and conspiracy to receive child pornography as well as two counts of receiving child pornography.
So as the world condemned Kelly, Freddie Gibbs came to his defense saying he was going to donate to his commissary saying he was “down bad.” For full disclosure, it was a joke from his upcoming Funk Flex freestyle. He rapped, “I said ‘fuck him’ like I love him. I told y’all I be joking. Fuck you n-gga, I’m the new king of R&B. He gotta sit down. I’m going to put something on your books. Don’t worry, Kellz. I got you, Sylvester,” Gibbs said with Flex laughing. He added: “I heard he was down bad on the books. They fucked his books up … He came out owing people. N-gga come outta jail with a bill!”

In case you missed it, Kelly recently had $28,000 taken out of his commissary to be used as restitution for his victims since he failed to pay $140,000 in court ordered fines.
He argued that Kelly should be able to make music in prison saying, “They need to let that n-gga out, though, so we can get some of that — he cooking, he number one on TikTok!” he said. “If you gon’ put him in jail, at least let him keep cooking! … What’s that shit? [‘Legs Shakin’]? I be hearing that shit all muthafucking month.”
He did, however clarify that he did not condone what he did. “R. Kelly a Midwest n-gga, man. You know I love him,” he added. “I mean, I don’t love what you did and all that shit, but you know, I got love for you … The R in R&B, n-gga. I ain’t ’bout to say free you, though, n-gga. You ain’t about to get me fucked up. I got my album coming out. I’ma say we praying for you. They looking at me out there like, ‘This n-gga Rabbit, man. Calm the fuck down.’”
