Directed by Emmy award winning director and producer Alex Stapleton, she released a joint statement with 50 Cent in Variety that calls the project “a story with significant human impact. It is a complex narrative spanning decades, not just the headlines or clips seen so far. We remain steadfast in our commitment to give a voice to the voiceless and to present authentic and nuanced perspectives. While the allegations are disturbing, we urge all to remember that Sean Combs’ story is not the full story of hip-hop and its culture. We aim to ensure that individual actions do not overshadow the culture’s broader contributions.”
This was first announced in May but people questioned it given the history Fif has of trolling Diddy. And if you’re wondering where this all started, 50 says Diddy asked to take him shopping and he’s essentially clowned him since calling him a “fruit pop” among other things. In a 2018 interview with The Breakfast Club, Diddy denied the two having a beef. He said “I don’t have no beef with Fif. He loves me. Y’all can’t see that he loves me? You really think that’s hate? … You know he loves me.” He added that he doesn’t take what he says about him seriously stating “When he does that it’s like funny to me. I don’t really take it personal. I know he has a different sense of humor, and he’s just not in my life. We don’t have to never cross paths, and I will never say nothing negative about him, you know, because that’s just not me.”
As for the new Diddy docuseries, no release date has been given. Stay tuned to PopGlitz for more details.
