Gwen Stefani got married to her country singer Blake Shelton over the weekend at Shelton’s Oklahoma ranch. The couple that met on The Voice in 2014 and dated since 2015, got engaged in 2020 had high profile divorces they were going through at the time they had to connect over. The wedding comes weeks after a bridal shower was held for Stefani. “I got kidnapped by my family to celebrate,” she said in a selfie video. “I’m getting married!”

The planning of the wedding involved Shelton joking that it was be “pretty classless” if he were in charge. “If I was picking our meal, it would just literally be everything fried,” he told USA Today. “French fries, chicken tenders, you know, all of that stuff. I think [Gwen] knows that it would be a pretty classless wedding if I was in control. I want her to do all of that stuff and handle it because it’s going to be great,” Shelton added. “She’s in the middle of planning the thing, and she’s always so mindful … of me. She’s like, ‘Hey, I don’t want to just take this thing over.’ I think she’s having a blast doing it,” he continued. “I mean, I know she’s having a blast doing it.”
As it pertains to Shelton becoming a stepfather to Stefani’s children Kingston James McGregor, 15, Zuma Nesta Rock, 12, and Apollo Bowie Flynn, 7, he told KFROG’s The Ride with Kimo & Heather. “I don’t know if it’s as hard or harder or not as hard as being an actual, biological parent, you know? I have a stepfather in my life who’s one of my heroes. I love my stepfather and I look up to him and he’s like a father to me, so I have a good inspiration in my life for how to do this and the kind of stepdad I want to be. And I take it very serious.”
“But I also have a blast with it, I’m not gonna lie,” added Shelton. “I don’t take it so serious that I’m not enjoying this time because I really am, especially now that we’re five years into this thing. I can’t imagine my life without these kids now,” he said.
The wedding held the day before the 4th was at a chapel built on the property for the occasion with Stefani wearing a Vera Wang gown. There were 40 guests and Carson Daily officiating the wedding because who else would we expect to officiate a Gwen Stefani wedding other than Mr. MTV himself. We wish these two the best of luck in the coming years of their marriage.
