The pandemic has caused people to look for any and every reason to get back in touch with their friends and no event could be more evidence of this than Adrian’s Kickback. If you’re wondering what that is, an event was promoted on TikTok on Huntington Beach that saw thousands showing up after the original invitation viewed over 220 million times on the app.

People were climbing stoplights, watch towers, jumping on top of cars, doing burnouts, shooting fireworks in the street, getting on top of police cars, etc. Ultimately 150 people were arrested. And here’s the kicker… almost nothing is available about who Adrian is. We just know that his account was made private since all this kicked off. That’s probably because law enforcement might be considering some type of punishment.

Apparently the police spent 4 hours trying to disperse the crowd. They called it an unlawful assembly at 7 pm and instituted an emergency curfew at 11:30 pm.

One attendee drove 4 hours from Vegas to be there. Others offered rides on social media for those who wanted to be there. One user called it Adrian’s Coachella. An attorney even posted legal advice for those attending on how to stay out of trouble. It’s too bad all the people who got arrested missed that post.

All in all, the event was far bigger than all the anti-lockdown events and probably the biggest party on social media for it to actually trend. Ahh, the powers of social media.
