Ja Rule had some good news to share and that was that he’s going to be attending Harvard Business School online. At 44, that’s not bad for the Queens rapper and we’re actually excited for him, because for the last 3 years, everytime he’s opened his mouth, he’s heard nothing but jokes about the Fyre Festival, that epic, collosal failure of a music festival that resulted in the main planner getting 6 years in prison for fraud. He shot a parody gyro commercial a few weeks ago for a competition show that when it went viral, it did nothing but remind us of his B list status.

Now don’t get me wrong. Ja Rule is an insanely talented rapper. But as his music career has slowed down, he hasn’t exactly been able to parlay into a major self-sustaining second act, something his arch nemesis reminds him of every time he gets the chance. That gyro commercial where he said the food was so good you can’t even pronounce it right, while a joke, 50 Cent posted it saying that’s what happens when you mess with him. And in 50’s defense, he’s had his own liquor line and a number of television shows he’s produced. Hopefully this Harvard degree will help him in his business endeavors. He’s been doing business but it’s been things like promoting a tax service or lately, party appearances. That should be a sign to re-evaluate where you are.

But this is good news for Rule, whose real name is Jeffrey Bruce Atkins. He joined other celebs who’ve recently gone to Harvard’s business school including LL Cool J, Ayesha Curry, Chris Bosh, Dwyane Wade, Channing Tatum and Katie Holmes and Ciara who just announced she’s going to be going soon as well. We’ll be reporting on how this goes for Ja Rule and we’re going to be looking forward to his business reinvention. Sadly, he commented on his disappointment with people being negative about it, but such is life. And that always happens when you try to better yourself. You’ve got this, Rule.
