Nothing is cuter than seeing old love interests come together to reunite and that’s what just happened with Jamie Foxx and Garcelle Beauvais on her podcast Going to Bed with Garcelle. The two met and spent over 5 years working together on The Jamie Foxx Show in the late 90s-early 2000s and then shot White House Down in 2013. But during the podcast episode, Foxx ripped the band aid off and spoke about what everyone’s been wondering over the years. Why weren’t these two ever together? They certainly look like they would have made a cute couple and had good on screen chemistry.
Beauvais said Foxx has never been that friendly with men she’s dated over the years saying, “You never really give any guy that I’m with any real attention.”
“Ever. I hate them all,” Foxx joked. “I think me and you should have been together. So every time I see them, I’m like, ‘Damn. I f—ed up.’ So every dude, I give them a really s—y look.”
“I feel it and they feel it,” Beauvais said. She then said that Kandi Burruss was on her podcast and asked the same thing wondering, ‘You know, I don’t get it. Why aren’t you and Jamie together?’ And I said, ‘Well, you know, we have a really great relationship now.’ And then I said, ‘He’s also hung like a horse. What would I do with all of that?!'”
Foxx said, “You take it one step at a time. What you can’t eat, just put in a doggie bag and save it for later,” as the two laughed.
As for what they would be doing if they were together through all of these years today, Foxx said, “They would be running their own hotel. They would have some kids. He would be crazy as s—.There would be times where we really we didn’t see eye-to-eye and maybe even had a breakup, but then we got back [together]. And then I think we would just sit back and watch our kids go through some s—.”
Now this is a genuine connection these two have and not something you see everyday. And if they do decide to get back together, fans are going to have a field day since this is over 2 decades overdue.
