Joe Budden says he’s pushing back from strip clubs for a bit because he doesn’t understand what’s been going on with them lately. On a recent episode of his podcast, he explains how his last few experiences weren’t so great. He said “my last trip wasn’t the greatest… i just remember when they used to sell you a fantasy, now she shaking ass for her cell phone and throwing up gang signs while you wait 20 minutes for pineapple juice??? Grab a Motrin and enjoy your headache.”
He further explains his last experience at the club. He says, “[he] don’t want to be in no action, so [he finds himself] a spot and stand[s] there” he continued “.. and then chicks just started acting doofy, like, because I think the whole place knew that it was me now… And then they all start coming in front of me acting mad doofy and stupid, and i’m just sitting there with my mask on.” He said the women just do whatever the ywant. He said instead of trying to be sexy they stand there throwing up gang signs.
Now we’re not sure what type of strip clubs he’s been frequenting but he definitely sounds like he needs one of his boys to help him out in that department. And if his friends can’t help him find a decent strip club to go to, what good are they?

In another episode of his podcast, he said that the current crop of R&B singers out are trash. But Tank chimed in on the topic and wasn’t having it. He responded by video saying, “Joe … Joseph. Don’t do this. My friend, my brother, don’t you do this. Don’t you sit up there and say the new generation of male R&B artists is trash, don’t you do that. Just say the women are having a moment. Just give them their followers without trying to put us in the grave.” He mentioned some names he felt were good to include Brent Faiyaz, Giveon, and Yung Bleu. He also added that women should be celebrated and not torn down by their peers.

While I personally have the instinct to agree with him, one could also say that those with platforms could also be using them to put on those we find talented. At the same time, labels should at least be credited with putting out and being responsible for who he considers trash. Two things can actually be right at the same time.
