This is the part where the Jussie Smollett story starts to get interesting. The Empire star has just been charged with a felony for disorderly conduct for falsifying a police report according to the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office. Detectives are currently working on negotiating with his legal team for Jussie to surrender for his arrest. And in case you hadn’t noticed, Jussie has only the best for his legal team. Aside from Michael Cohen’s attorney Michael Monico, he added the famed Mark Geragos to his team, the man behind Chris Brown’s assault case with Rihanna, Michael Jackson, Susan McDougal, Winona Ryder and more so he’s definitely prepared.
All of this comes shortly after footage of the Nigerian brothers Olabinjo Osundairo and Abimbola Osundairowho have cooperated with Chicago police stating he paid them $3,500 to attack him was released showing them purchasing the items to stage the attack. Reports of them being on camera in the elevator of his apartment building the night of the attack have circulated not to mention more reports of his character allegedly being cut down this season on Empire, which Fox has come out to deny. As for his role on the show, if it wasn’t cut before, it’s certain to happen now. As of now he has a bond hearing Thursday at 1:30pm. New updates will be reported as they arrive.
