A year and some change later the Jussie Smollett case has continued. This time Smollett is accused of having a sexual relationship with one of the Nigerian brothers, Abel Osundairo and the two are said to have attended an elite bathhouse in Chicago. The insider who reported on this said there should be records of their attendance since they had to show id and can be subpoenaed. These records can be used for Smollett’s upcoming disorderly conduct trial.

The significance of this is that it in part could work to the benefit of the Osundairo brothers showing that there was an established relationship between them as they accused Smollett of paying $3500 to attack him disguised as money for fitness training. It shows that they already had an established relationship and it’s worth noting, Abel Osundairo is a bonafied boxer. If he wanted to hurt Smollett and really was this homophobic attacker he was accused of he would likely do far more damage than what was done.

There’s a problem here. When Smollett’s attorney insinuated a sexual relationship between Smollett and Abel Osundairo, he and his brother Ola sued for defamation. They lost. Now this has reared its ugly head again and guess what happens to those openly gay in Nigeria? They get 14 years in prison. Let’s say for instance they never went together and Osundairo went with someone else. This could be a way to out him and get him in trouble in his home country. If that is the case, this is quite an underhanded and evil thing to do. If Smollett did all of this that backfired practically ending his career, he needs to accept it. Taking others down with him and possibly causing them harm in their home country is unfathomable. If guilty, Smollett has already experienced his share of karma, he probably doesn’t want to push his luck at more of it.
