Jussie Smollett is now 2.5 years into his hate crime case where he still maintains his innocence. He even spoke to FoxNews telling them that this was a “dog and pony show.” The case which involves his original claim that he was attacked by 2 men late one night in Chicago putting a rope around his neck saying “This is MAGA country” resulted in him being charged again with 6 felony counts of misconduct for allegedly lying to police. He came to court today for both sides of the story to be told.

As it was revealed, the two attackers, one of which he said was white turned out to be two nigerian men he previously worked with on the show he was starring in at the time, Empire. And it was also revealed by them that he allegedly paid them $3,500 to attack him, masked as training services and said it was because he was unhappy with his salary.

Smollett, or as Dave Chappelle likes to call Juicy Sommelier tried to have the case thrown out in September citing insufficient and incompetent evidence on behalf of the two Nigerian men, aka the Osundairo brothers. We’ll be reporting on how today’s court date goes but there’s still the elephant in the room here to discuss. If being more famous was the ultimate goal here, Smollett could have done an Onlyfans video with these two brothers or secretly filmed himself with them and he would have gotten a lot further without even involving the police. And his gay fans would have actually appreciated that more. Sigh. Missed opportunities. #NoHomo.
