In one of the more shocking moments of the year, Kanye West finally decided he was ready to run for President, but it happened while his bestie, Trump is still in office. Oh, and he wouldn’t be able to get on the ballot in about a dozen states, but hey, why not? He was accused of being a distraction and not taking it seriously, but fret not, Kanye wants us to know that he in fact is running. He even did a 4 hour interview with Forbes to detail his platform and plans once elected.

As for Kanye pulling votes away from Biden, he said “I’m not denying it, I just told you. To say that the Black vote is Democratic is a form of racism and white supremacy.”

“I’m not saying Trump’s in my way, he may be a part of my way. And Joe Biden? Like come on man, please,” he was quoted saying. “You know? Obama’s special. Trump’s special. We say Kanye West is special. America needs special people that lead. Bill Clinton? Special. Joe Biden’s not special.”

If you’re wondering what took Kanye so long to file, it’s because he says he was diagnosed with covid19 back in January. “Chills, shaking in the bed, taking hot showers, looking at videos telling me what I’m supposed to do to get over it,” he said speaking of the time.

And because business has to continue even while running for President, Kanye just trademarked the phrase ‘West Day Ever’ after announcing his partnership with Gap last month. The phrase has been registered to be used on clothes, shoes, and other apparel. His Gap deal will be lasting for 10 years and his YeezyGap line is expected to be out early 2021.

It looks like Kanye’s got a tight schedule ahead of him and seems to be poised to cause a political upset for the Biden campaign so keep your eye on him. This race very well could be close and Kanye entering the race could really up the ante.
