Kanye chose her for a scene and cleared the room in order to begin to “fim[ing] the sexual assault to which he was about to subject Plaintiff.” It was at that point he began to choke her with both hands and “rammed several fingers down her throat, continuously moved them in and out, and gagged her (which Plaintiff believed lasted for over a minute) to emulate forced oral sex, and screamed, ‘This is art. This is f–king art. I am like Picasso.’”
Also named in the suit was Interscope and Universal Music Group who she says enabled Kanye to “gag Plaintiff on a music video set, without consequence.” And his behavior was defended and protected by these labels she says where his “gendered, hateful, and abusive controversies were a brand, which was too profitable for Defendant Universal Music to intervene, despite his unlawful conduct.”
New York’s Gender Motivated Violence Act was cited in the lawsuit and the model and actress is seeking a trial by jury punitive damages, attorney costs and “damages for mental, emotional and physical injury, distress, pain and suffering and injury to reputation.” And the thing about a trial by jury is that it would be hard to imagine too many people who would listen to this story and not feel sympathetic because where does getting a hand shoved down your throat any part of a workplace? Was it mentioned anywhere in the music video treatment? The lawsuit goes even further stating that Universal Music Group and its affiliates “systematically discriminates against women, by continuing to work with artists with well-documented histories of sexual harassment and discrimination” and that both record labels and “other high-profile figures within the industry [tried to] ‘bury’ the incident.”
If you think all of that is something, wait til you hear what a former project manager said about him. Former Yeezy employee Murphy Aficionado said he was constantly subjected to sexual harassment where his boss literally ordered him to sit in the vicinity while he engaged in sexual activity, not just with his wife but other women. One instance involved him walking in the door to Kanye buttoning his pants up and his wife Bianca Censori covering her bare breasts after clearly finishing having sex. He told him to wait a minute, went into the room and continued doing so as he was ordered to remain in the living room until he was done. He had a masseuse over during a different instance where he left the room to have sex with her, came back and traded places with an NFL player who also slept with the masseuse immediately after. He has filed 12 complaints against Kanye including discrimination, harassment, and retaliation and also wants a trial by jury.
This is a moment where the enablers of Kanye West from fans who think he can do no wrong to those who just wanted to ride the gravy train should examine themselves and realize that this would be a good time to acknowledge his flaws, see where they contribute to his actions and put an end to it.
