Kanye West had a much hyped album streaming event last week at Atlanta’s Mercedes Benz stadium for his new project DONDA that was set to be out Friday, July 23rd. And this was an event that had $50 chicken tenders, $65 for chips and beef jerky and $40 for an all beef hot dog. Unfortunately it was all for naught as the album ended up being delayed until August 6th. But it didn’t stop fans from talking about those sky high stadium food prices, album or no album on social media.

But the streaming event that just involved Kanye playing his music and walking around the stadium intently paying attention to audience reactions for about 45 minutes broke an Apple record. It broke the Apple Music Global Livestream record with a whopping 3.3 million viewers. The last record was 1.8 million viewers for Guccia Mane and Jeezy’s Verzuz battle earlier this year.
As for Kanye’s DONDA album, he’s moved into the MB stadium with a chef and living quarters to finish the project as quickly as he can.
