Former Nickelodeon star Kel Mitchell is now being accused of being physically and financially abusive with his ex-wife Tyisha Hampton in recently posted TikTok videos she’s shared. It’s been a year since the two have divorced and she says he’s gone out of his way to make her life a living hell. In fact, he said he would do it and kept his promise.
First, Hampton says Mitchell filed a false domestic abuse suit against her to get out of paying the back child support that he owed. In the video shared, at the 3 minute mark, she wrote, “The audacity of the abuser!!” And as the video continues, she says, “We’re all familiar with domestic violence.”
“We were married for 10 years and our marriage didn’t work out. And because I wanted to get a divorce and I was absolutely done and I wouldn’t allow him to cheat on me he said that he would make my life miserable, and he’s definitely tried to make my life miserable.”

She continued, “In fact, he continues to abuse me. I mean he abused me physically, mentally and he continues to abuse me and our children financially. Committing financial abuse by continuously refusing to pay anything.”
She added, “Tomorrow I have a court hearing and at that hearing my ex, Kel Mitchell attempted to use…no he didn’t attempt he actually did, file a domestic violence hearing in regards to my [previous] TikToks or my posts.”
“He wants me to stop talking about my life but it’s a free country and it’s my first amendment right.”
Following up on how their court date went, she said in a 15 second clip that the judge dismissed Mitchell’s attempt to keep her quiet stating that she could say what she pleases as it’s her first amendment right.
While he’s had nothing to say about this, he’s previously accused her of clout chasing when she accused him of owing her over $1 million of child support. You know what type of behavior that is? It’s quite unbecoming of a pastor. Oh yes. Kel Mitchell is a youth pastor. He’s been at Spirit Food Christian Center in Southern California for about a year and a half now. He needs to consult with some other men in his ministry on how to handle this situation because he isn’t looking so good right now.
