Rapper Key Glock was a mentee of Young Dolph, who was tragically killed in his hometown of Memphis this week and expectedly people have been tagging and mentioning him in articles and sharing them with him on all platforms. For his own mental health, and understandably so, he deactivated all his social media. But he came back on Instagram with a message today saying, “STOP asking me if I’m ok. Knowing damn well I ain’t..” accompanied with a heartbroken emoji.

Just a week ago on Monday, November 15th, Key Glock, born Markeyvius LaShun Cathey helped Dolph give out 200 turkeys at the West Cancer Center & Research Institute in Germantown, Tennessee. As Dolph’s cousin by marriage, it’s understandable why he’d take this so hard. And who would want to constantly be reminded of their dead friend? Dolph signed him to his Paper Route Empire label in 2017 with their 2019 Dum and Dummer joint album following along with Dum and Dummer 2 this year. Key Glock’s Yellow Tape 2 album debuted at No. 7 earlier this month with plenty promotion by Dolph on social media.

Also, Dolph’s partner Mia Jaye thanked everyone for all the  “genuine positive vibes, energy and prayers” on Instagram a day after his murder saying,

“Thank you to everyone for all of your prayers, love, support, calls, messages… I may not see them all but when my eyes are not full of tears, I catch a few,” wrote Jaye, who had two children with Dolph before his death. “Nonetheless, all the genuine positive vibes, energy and prayers are welcome… because Lord knows I need them…”

In another IG story, she wrote: “How am I going to tell my babies that daddy is never coming home?” The message rests above footage of Dolph’s daughter doing sit-ups with him looking on. “God give me strength… Adolph I love you with all my heart and soul,” Jaye wrote in another message.

Our prayers are still going up for Dolph’s family, Key Glock, his team and longtime partner Mia Jaye.
