It’s now been 3 months since rapper Kodak Black was pardoned by President Trump and released to go back home and has an even better outlook on his next case. He’s been accused of criminal sexual conduct against a teenager in South Carolina that he’s accepted a plea deal to a lesser charge and only has 18 months of probation.
Black, whose real name is Bill K. Kapri is represented by Bradford Cohen who has represented Lil Wayne, NLE Choppa, Scott Storch, etc. so he’s already got a good defense. The accusation was that in 2016 he threw a minor on the bed and bit her neck and breasts before forcibly having sex with her. The forcibly having sex part was not a part of his charges and thus making him no longer facing 30 years in prison as he was before.
the 12th Circuit Solicitor in Florence County, Ed Clements told TMZ that though Kapri bit the girl, he apologized to her. He now has a 10 yeat suspended sentence which means so long as he doesn’t act up on probation he won’t have to serve it. He won’t wear an ankle monitor. All he has to do is tell his probation officer his whereabouts. His attorney solidified his ability to go out of state to perform so he can make money before so that was already taken care of.
But here’s the problem with all of this. Just ask Meek Mill what type of a trap probation can be and how the littlest of violations can send you to jail. Remy Ma had to make sure when fights broke out at the club she was nowhere near the premises so she wouldn’t get caught in the middle and end up in jail all over again. He also can’t drink or use drugs during this time period. That is the type of thing that should come with a type of outpatient rehabilitation for those who struggle with that because going cold turkey for anyone isn’t easy and then forcing it as a legal mandate can be a recipe for disaster. We’re going to pray for the best for him. He has a child and a second one on the way and he needs to be around for both.
