The recent robberies of Fashion Nova CEO Richard Saghian and Lakers player Kentavious Caldwell-Pope are currently being investigated for a possible connection along with a string of other robberies across Los Angeles. Both of these June cases involved the suspects being followed home and held at gunpoint afterwards.

Saghian was on his way home in a Rolls Royce June 25th when he was followed there and his security was held at gunpoint. It resulted in a deadly shootout by his Security with one suspect dead, another injured and the third got away without getting hurt.

Caldwell-Pope was similarly followed home like Saghian and had $150,000 of items stolen including a Rolex, jewelry and an iPhone. LAPD Assistant Chief Beatrice Girmala said during a March 2nd meeting of the Los Angeles Police Commission that shootings were up 90% in just the first 2 months of the year so even outside of these events, this is a general issue in the area. Updates will be given on this story as they come about.
