Marc Jacobs has chosen rapper Lil Uzi Vert to be a part of his 2022 Spring campaign. Named the Monogram Collection, the logo-centric look was debuted during the Fall 2021 runway show and continued through the Spring 2022 season. Known for being genderless with his clothing, it would only make sense for Marc Jacobs to pick Uzi Vert, whose real name is Symere Bysil Woods to represent the campaign. It was just 2020 that Marc Jacobs released their first gender neutral line and his willingness to be bold in his style choices makes him the perfect muse.

Since the start of his career, Uzi’s been associated with top designers such as Raf Simons, Prada and Marni. On his 2016 song Hi Roller he was name dropping brands saying, “Yeah, Yeezy my feet/I put Louis V, Don C my wrists.” In that year he was wearing Raf Simons and Louis Vuitton right around when his career took off with his feature on Migos’ Bad and Bougie. Essence Magazine has said he’s redefining men’s fashion. And his inclusion of the words “No stylist” in his Instagram bio shows he’s definitely aware of his cultural influence on style.

The Marc Jacobs Spring 2022 collection include balaclavas, tube shirts, luxe canvas jacquard jackets, and pant sets with matching bucket hats. Pieces sport large letters to smaller designs with a color mix of black and white, pink and taupe, and black and beige.
